The most common cause of premature failure of HPLC columns is the presence of particles in the column inlet frit. The flow of mobile phase is restricted and back-pressure beyond an acceptable value is generated. CSC offers simple, economical filters to prevent the irreversible lodging of particles within the fine mesh of the column inlet frit.
